Country Fair Day Display

Yesterday was the St. John's Sweet Air Country Fair Day. I was very pleased with my set-up and I snapped a few pics to share with you! I was actually quite nervous/excited about the fair the night before. I got up at 5 AM and left before May & Brennan woke up...I missed them so much! A special thanks to Nana and Mimi for watching them. Also, a special thanks to my hubby for setting up the heavy stuff for my display! If you didn't make it out to country fair day, here is what you missed:

My Display in the morning....in the shade until around 11:30 and I was frozen!! Not the blanket on my chair :)
FINALLY in the sun!
A close up of my wagon wheel display! This was my favorite part of my display...and it was my idea. Of course, I did need Scott's help in pulling it off...but, how cool is it that we had this old wagon wheel up in the barn?! Who knows where it travelled back in the day, but now its an awesome display!
The table displayed the dresses available for order...holiday and Ravens dresses! The paper mache manequins were handmade by me...of course!
At first I thought my spot was going to be awesome...right by the coffee and donuts! But, as it turned out, the traffic flowed a bit differently and it seemed like a bunch of people didn't even make it down my row :( I sold a couple of dresses and headbands...better than none! I did give out a ton of business cards, so I'm hoping I will be getting some future orders from people I met at Country Fair Day. For those of you who were not able to make it to country fair day, I am still offering a special on my dresses...$5 off for customers paying in cash, or 10% off online orders in my Etsy shop. Use the code sweetdress10, to get your discount! I am also taking custom dress orders for holiday and Ravens/NFL dresses. Please let me know if you are interested. The pricing varies based upon the options chosen, but the $5 or 10% off discount still applies. The cost ranges from $30-$44 regularly or $25-$39 with the discount ($5 off for cash customers). I can work out a meeting place to drop off your dress, or you can pick it up at my house...or even better, at Prigel Family Creamery, so you can get some awesome Apple Strudel ice cream!

Custom Dresses

How many onesies/bodysuits do you have just sitting in your little girl's drawers? You may wonder how you will use all of them, and most likely you won't. Here's the honest truth...onesies are adorable and so convenient, but often end up covered up by another outfit. It doesn't have to be this way. Do you have a onesie that you adore, but want a way to make it a complete outfit? Well, I can help you out with that! Introducing....Custom Dresses by My Darling Adeline!

Here's how it works:
You send me a onesie/bodysuit and fabric(s) of your choice(I will let you know how much you need). I will supply the labor and other notions necessary to turn your onesie into an adorable little dress for your sweetheart! Interested? Here is what you need to do:
1. email me at mydarlingadeline@gmail.com or message me on facebook letting me know that you want a custom dress
2. I will set up a listing for you on Etsy to purchase (this pays for the supplies I use to create the dress including thread & elastic, my time, and return shipping to you).
3. pick out your onesie(s) and fabric(s) and mail them to me...in less than 2 weeks, I will mail back your transformed onesies!
4. Dress up that baby girl and send me a picture...I would love to see it on your little model. And if you allow it, I will add it to my facebook page :)

Dresses, A Yard Sale & Etsy

Hi there! My name is Leah and I'm the creator of My Darling Adeline. I design, sew, & sell sweet little dresses for sweet baby girls. I absolutely love every aspect of creating one-of-a-kind dresses. One day I'll have to share the story of how this all got started; but tonight I'm going to be filling you in on what's been happening. My Darling Adeline is brand new! I actually have an Etsy shop ready to go, but I haven't listed any of my dresses yet. Why, you ask? Well, I'm planning to have a "kick off" event at the Prigel Family Creamery Yard Sale on August 27th. I'm guilty of {attempting} to hype everyone up about my dresses. Yes, I do have motivation behind this. First of all, I would love to sell the dresses locally...and it doesn't get more local than across the street! Second, I want everyone to know about Prigel Family Creamery!! My husband is a dairy farmer and he works for his uncle. His uncle owns the creamery...and I know I'm biased, but I think they really do have THE BEST ice cream (and evidently others agree because they just won Baltimore's Best Ice Cream in Baltimore Magazine)! So, I decided to try out selling my dresses at Prigel Creamery's event first. The yard sale, which will take place Saturday August 27th, starting at 8 AM, will also have other vendors and regular yard sale tables. There will also be....one of the things I'm most looking forward to...brunch catered by Clementines!! If you haven't heard of Clementines, check them out sometime. They even havebeef from our farm on their menu! Ok, seriously now, I'm going to get back on the subject ofsweet little dresses. The first opportunity to buy the dresses will be at this yard sale. I'm already dreaming of how lovely they will look hanging on the branches of a tree. I sure hope the weather is cooperative! I'm hoping that I will be able to gauge the interest people have in my product and hopefully sell a few dresses. The remaining dresses will be listed on Etsy. Right now, all of my dresses are one-of-a-kind! I think that makes them even more special. Eventually, I may have more than one of each dress, but I don't plan to "mass produce" any design. I have way too much fun choosing different fabrics. Besides, onesie designs are always changing with the season!

Take a moment to browse my pics on my facebook page ::My Darling Adeline::. I have pics posted of all the dresses I will be bringing to the creamery. If you have a specific design idea in mind that you don't see, I would be glad to try to bring your vision to life! Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you at the yard sale next Saturday!
